Adelaide Ceiling Replacements was founded by Sean Sweetman, a ceiling specialist who has been in the plastering and Gyprock industry since 1999.
Sean began his career as a flusher(plasterer) on new homes. From the very start, one thing stood out: too many jobs were rushed, poorly prepared, or simply not built to last. As a self-confessed perfectionist, Sean consistently found himself fixing issues outside his scope—straightening framing, packing out Gyprock walls, windows, ceilings, (which should have been done by the installers) and improving finishes—because he believed the job should be done properly, not just quickly.
After working for many builders over the years, it became clear that the only way to guarantee quality and customer care was to take full control. Adelaide Ceiling Replacements was born from that belief.
Over time, Sean recognized a growing and often overlooked problem across Adelaide homes: failing ceilings, particularly in garages, carports, and older properties. In 2024, the decision was made to specialize exclusively in this area, rebranding the business to Adelaide Ceiling Replacements and committing fully to becoming Adelaide’s go-to experts in ceiling replacement work.
Since then, we’ve replaced hundreds of ceilings across Adelaide, building a reputation for doing the job properly, safely, and with finishes that last.
